Lost $38US to transaction fees and got nothing for it

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I tried to purchase a website, paid for it in Escrow, then the seller said he had problems with the payment on his side and asked me to cancel so I can pay with Paypal instead. I did and got most of my money back, but not the $38US transfer fee.

I requested the user to reimburse me but haven't heard from him.

I basically lost money for nothing, because of the sellers issues, and Flippa is not doing anything about it. In fast, they tried to suspend my account!

Unauthorised card transaction

Could not contact Flippa support via phone, the best avenue was via support email in which I got a response within 24 hours regarding a refund. Very happy with their customer support and I will now continue using their system in the future for any investments I find.

Fake Listings and False Advertisment

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Sellers have fake listings on their site and Flippa takes no responsibility of verifying the listings are legit. Flippa tries to to make it by the buyers responsible some how verify the listings they have on their on platform.

The sellers and buyers have to register, so Flippa should be verify the listings them. Is Flippa is not going to do anything, then what is the point of using them.

Suspended For No Reason & Bad Customer Service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

After getting my listing suspended for deleting spam/fake comments. Flippa decides to say my revenue claims aren't legit.

I happily submit my payouts via Shopify and video proof of it. Apparently this is not enough for Ricky (the customer service rep). He now wants video proof of me logging into my bank showing all my personal details.... doesn't this go against privacy?

After showing them my bank statements with my account number and name on it, this is STILL NOT ENOUGH FOR THEM. AFTER PAYING $400 I GET SCREWED OVER BY THEM. They refuse to lift the suspension resulting in a loss of time and money. Awful service that allows scammers as well, I literally got banned for deleting unserious/troll comments.

What kind of company does that? Shame on you Ricky, you have no sense of urgency or care for customers that pay money to you.

They banned me for unethical reason

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I got banned for unethical reason, Flippa is backing Super Sellers, they banned me for the reason of copying website, which I don't do any copyright violations. I've been created my website from the scratch.

Even they don't have patience to review the source file of my website.

Anybody can cross check my website and compare with their source file hostingjug is mine and hostinglux is super seller website, that I'm using another wp theme to built my website but it's similar to hostinlux. It's not wrong. JMO. I'm taking inspiration from their website but I've modified a few in middle.

They are using a different theme as well.

so it's not copying.

themeforest.net selling 1000's of wp themes, most of the themes home page is the same, few people use varying options. so it's not wrong. If I'm using wp, elementor, woo-commerce, then most of the templates are the same. I believe nothing wrong in it.

Flippa is just backing the super sellers who are giving good revenues to them.

Even in Flippa site rules they didn't stated anywhere that users are not allowed to make same websites. Flippa is doing Dictatorship.

When I asked and explained with each and every difference to Antoinette S (Flippa support), he simply said "The decision is final and all the best outside of Flippa."

Does flippa really thinks that creating same website is serious threat? or Violation of Copyright Act?

I request to flippa guys to have some morality.

They tries hard to ban new sellers who is going to give tough competition to super sellers, And they backed super sellers with no doubt.

And as I seen in trustpilot, they make fake reviews as I read carefully they make 3-4 5 star ratings for each 1 star ratings, to maintain good reputaion in trust pilot.

And they report the reviews who raised voice against them.

PS: If you are new seller stay away. May be they will ban your account for using free stock images, that some super seller may be using the same.

DO NOT USE FLIPPA

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

If you attempt to list a business through Flippa, they will list it for $1. Then, there's absolutely no way to edit or delete the business listing from your profile.

To make matters worse, they don't have a phone number to call for support or intervention. Absolutely terrible system from a seller's perspective.

Flippa - Stole my listing money and ghosted me
Updated by user Sep 07, 2018

they came through as promised.

Original review Sep 07, 2018
I'll start this off by saying that I am the proud owner of two very unique, and successful online businesses which generate reliable income from a loyal customer base. My websites are innovative, unique, and overall very difficult to knock-off.

I paid for a listing on "Flippa" and after working with their support to correctly prove my income, they told me the site would be reviewed by their market integrity team. Flippa had no problem with my sites market integrity. I was so transparent I even shared a full client list and analyst access to my web payment administration system which cannot be faked. Flippa then completely ghosted me until I threatened a chargeback.

They apologized and told me they would get my information to the market integrity team and then after waiting several more days i did a chargeback but only after messaging them 4 times asking for a response or a refund. Only moments after the chargeback they told me they would process my listing same day if i reversed it. I did, and then I was ghosted again. Paypal doesn't let you do 2 chargebacks on the same transaction.

This site is completely scamming people. Additionally when i kept submitting tickets, flippa deleted the conversations from their database.

After they approved my refund after ignoring me for weeks and only giving it to be for complaining, they blocked me from their site lmao flippa is a garbage site.

I had a very similar situation with them. I paid for a listing, but before I could list my domain, they suspended my account and doesn't answer any messages since then.

I'm surprised how this company can legally operate at all. These are criminals.

Bryan Winstanley created and sold fake affiliate websites to unsuspecting victims

Flippa - Bryan Winstanley created and sold fake affiliate websites to unsuspecting victims
Flippa - Bryan Winstanley created and sold fake affiliate websites to... - Image 2
Flippa - Bryan Winstanley created and sold fake affiliate websites to... - Image 3

Bryan Winstanley, based in Quebec Canada, is a professional scammer and fraudster who has had multiple failed websites, schemes and ventures, including winstanley marketing inc, totalseolinking, winstanleyrims.com and a slew of fake life insurance affiliate websites ,a few of which he has successfully sold to the tune of $55000 USD on Flippa.com.

Under a buy back agreement, I purchased a life insurance affiliate website from him under the impression that it was receiving consistent organic traffic and revenue through an affiliate program. 20 days after the funds and assets were exchanged, traffic came to a halt and the affiliate program was cancelled by the parent company, affiliatesoftware.com. According to affiliatesoftware.com, his account was cancelled for violating their terms and conditions.

Bryan impersonated a legitimate company (insurance.com) under his affiliate program for all of his insurance websites and has no affiliation with that company.

He has also been named in a previous court case from 4 years ago as a respondent against a company titled kansas city life insurance for using a deceptively similar domain in a bid to lure customers to his site and profit from PPC revenue. A complaint was filed by Kansas city life insurance company and the domain was transferred to them. Bryan failed to respond to any of their claims. You can view the case information here: http://www.adrforum.com/domaindecisions/156****.htm

I and a handful of other individuals will be taking him to court and reporting him to the authorities as so far, it seems the vast majority of his past victims have failed to take any legal action against him. Hence why he is still actively defrauding people, while taking trips around the world doing god knows what.

If you see this report, stay clear from this person and avoid doing any type of business with him. He goes by the name Winstanelyf1 on FLippa where he has since been banned.
